Kids’ 5-Day Summer Camp: Basic Pastry and Baking Program

Join us this summer for a fun-filled, week-long camp that teaches kids the arts of baking and pastry. Each day young chefs will learn new skills—from the basics of measuring and tool use to baking yeast breads, pies, cookies and more. They’ll learn side-by-side with our professional instructor and other students as they make—and taste—savory and sweet creations.
Camp fee includes recipes, rolling pin, Wilton Cake Decorating Kit, and exclusive Sur La Table apron and market bag. Classes only available as a five-part series. Monday – Pastry Arts 101
Learn your way around the kitchen and how to correctly mix and measure, we’ll then put those skills
to the test in delicious cookie and bar recipes.
MENU: Grandma’s Awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies – Lemon Bars – Decorated Sugar Cookies – Granola Bars
Tuesday – Essential Recipes
Yeast breads and quick breads are on the menu, from focaccia to muffins.
MENU: Stuffed Focaccia – Irish Soda Bread with Orange Butter – Apple Crumble Muffins – Basic White Bread
Wednesday – Pies and Tarts
We’ll roll out dough for pies and tarts, and make an assortment of sweet and savory delights.
MENU: Pie Dough – Tart Dough – Fresh Fruit Gallette – Lemon Tart – Create Your Own Mini Quiche
Thursday – Cakes & Frosting
We’ll spend the day making cake -- it’ll be better than the boxed variety and a whole lot more fun to make.
MENU: Basic Yellow Cake – Basic Chocolate Cake – Chocolate Fudge Frosting – Butterfly Cupcakes
Friday – Cake Decorating
Decorate and fill cakes with icing you make, we’ll show you tips and idea, plus make an impressive baked Alaska.
MENU: Baked Alaska – Basic Meringue – Fresh Berry Filling – Milk Chocolate Frosting
