Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for a class?

Registering for a class is easy. You can view our schedule online by clicking on the appropriate location. You will see a calendar that lists all classes offered that month at that location. To register for a class, click on the class that you are interested in. The next screen will give you greater detail about the class. At the bottom of the screen, you will be asked to enter in the number of participants you wish to register and you can proceed to REGISTER FOR CLASS.

Do I need to set up an account?

When you register online, you will be asked to create an account and choose a password. We ask that you do this so that we can provide you with a higher level of service and security for this and future transactions. Once you’ve typed your contact information, you will not need to retype it should you wish to register with us for future events. Further, creating an account will allow you to review a list of your prior attendance at any time. Account holders can edit contact information at any time by clicking on the “My Account” section of the Web site. As you go through the system, items marked with an * are required. Immediately after registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail of your registration. If you do not receive this e-mail, please contact us at customerservice@surlatable.com.

How do I search for a class?

Search for a class by entering key words in the “Search For…” box. All classes for all locations fitting those key words will be displayed. You can click on any class to get more information and to register.

What is the format of your classes?

We offer two different formats; Hands On and Demonstration. All of our classes are two to two and a half hours in duration. You will be given a tasting size portion of all the dishes prepared during the class. We will also provide you with recipes for all the menu items.

  • Hands On: These are full participation classes. Students take part in practicing techniques and preparing the menu items. We limit these classes to 16 participants.
  • Demonstration: Designed as an observation class, participants can watch while local chefs explain and show recipe preparation and cooking techniques. This class is limited to 32 participants.

Should I register for a class with a waitlist?

If a class is in waitlist status, you can still register and add your name to the waitlist. You will not be required to submit any payment information until a spot becomes available. If an opening for a waitlist class becomes available, you will be contacted by phone or e-mail. Please leave both day and evening phone numbers. Your credit card information will be required at the time you accept a spot in the class. Depending on kitchen availability, we will add additional classes to accommodate waitlists.

What is your cancellation policy for classes?

You may cancel your registration for a class up to 48 hours in advance of the class and receive a full refund or transfer to another class of equal value. To cancel a registration, contact the Culinary Coordinator for that location or call our customer service department, 866-328-5412. No refund or exchanges will be given on classes that are cancelled 48 hours prior to the class.
